Important Details- Please Read!

  • Transportation to and from Prince Edward Island is your responsibility.

  • There is not a dedicated art area. You can set up your art in your room, however you must bring everything you need to protect all of the restoration work that has been completed in the mansion (this may just mean a table cloth, or a drop cloth).

  • When people are not eating, you are welcome to work in the dining area, but please be considerate, and remove your beautiful creations around meal times so that people can sit and have their breakfast/lunch/dinner. Hours for using the dining room for art: 10 AM-12:00PM, 2:00 PM-5:00PM, 8PM-7AM This gives people space for eating from 7AM-10AM, 12PM- 2PM, and 5PM-8PM.

  • This retreat is for one person per room.  If a friend would like to apply with you, they will need to complete their own application, and reserve their own space. Sorry, no spouses or children.
  • Renting a car is not necessary, however if you do, parking at the house is free. You are walking distance to much of Charlottetown, and there are many tours leaving the city so that you can explore the island even without a car!

  • All mediums may apply (except for musicians), including but not limited to photographers, writers,  painters, jewelry artists, mosaic artists, fabric arts, etc. - however please keep in mind that there is NO traditional studio, and you MUST be prepared to create your own creative space (indoors or out) and avoid any art production that could cause even the smallest damage to the house. This means bring drop cloths if you plan to paint!- and NO glitter! Plan on creating a space in your room, working outdoors on nice days, or being able to quickly clean up a work space if you use a dining table during non-meal hours.

  • IMPORTANT! If you reserve a room and would like to cancel, there will only be a refund if the room  is reserved by someone else.

If you have been fully Vaccinated, you can apply for a PEI Pass here.  If you have the pass, as of July 2021 you do not need to self-isolate. Canada is opening it's US/Canadian border in August 2021, if you intend to drive to PEI from the US.

  • PLEASE NOTE: If the retreat has to be to cancelled due to covid travelling restrictions, cancellation will be done 30 days prior to our retreat, and you will receive a full refund! When the retreat is rescheduled with new dates, you will have the option of reserving the same room again before it's opened up to other applicants.

  • Please consider getting travel insurance for your flights.

This is a creative retreat open to all art forms/mediums! For some people, that will mean they want quiet, peace, and reflection. Others will want to be social with the other artists. Both are fine! It's just important to remember to respect what each person wants out of their retreat. There are ZERO expectations for people to hang out, be social or not social, or even to leave their rooms! This is YOUR amazing Prince Edward Island Retreat! The only thing expected is for you to have a week to be your creative, wonderful self!

It is understood that this retreat is a way for artistic people to spend a week in a highly inspiration location with other artists! By reserving a space, you understand that although many of the participants may indeed end up touring the area together, you are under NO obligation to participate in any activities.
